Starcom1 Wire 3 BT module

StarCom1 WIRE3 can be used as a rider, OR a passenger, wireless headset adaptor.  The WIRE3 module will connect to most Bluetooth helmet systems available.

Power Cable Installation

The unit requires a 12V vehicle supply it has a built-in voltage regulator, reverse input protection, so that it is safe to use directly from a vehicle’s switched supply. The power cable is supplied with a power plug which can be plugged directly into the StarCom1 Digital unit, also supplied in the fitting kit is a power lead splice block for connection to a suitable power feed. The 12V supply must be ignition switched, so that the WIRE3 supply is off when the vehicle ignition is OFF or else the vehicle battery may be drained over time. The MiniDIN headset plug cable must be plugged into the Starcom1, this provides the 0V connection.

Connection to ADVANCE

If the StarCom1 12V supply is an ignition switched supply then the WIRE3 12V connection can be

made by splicing into the StarCom1 power cable. If the StarCom is connected to the battery directly then the WIRE3 module must be connected  to a switched supply.

Connection to DIGITAL

The StarCom1 DIGITAL provides a 12V switched output. Plug the WIRE3 power lead directly into this supply.
