You can even listen to FM broadcasts in stereo through the headphone jack.

A wide-narrow bandwidth switch improves shortwave reception and the upper and lower single side band frequencies are selectable in 40 Hz tuning steps. The ATS-909 has five tuning methods for your convenience: direct keypad entry, manual tuning, auto scan, manual up-down tuning, memory recall and manual knob tuning.

An alpha-numeric memory system allows you to store 306 presets (260 short wave, 18 AM, 18 FM and 9 long wave plus priority) and 3 programmable wake timers can be used with them. The clock displays even when you're tuning the ATS-909 and it stores 42 world city times. You can even view the signal strength and battery life on Sangean's large LCD display. The ATS-909 also shows RDS on PL, PS and CT for the station name and the clock time where this service is available. It comes with an ANT-60 shortwave antenna, carrying pouch, ear-buds and a ADPATS-808 6V DC Adapter.
